Description
Design and Fit (The “1 Pair” Consideration)
The design determines the band’s function and overall comfort.
Appropriate Length and Width:
Length: Longer wraps (24″ or more) provide more support and wraps, while moderate lengths (12″ or 18″) offer a balance of support and convenience.
Width: A width of about 3 inches is standard for effective support.
Left/Right Hand Specific: Some high-end pairs are designed for the left and right hands individually to ensure the thumb loop and wrap direction are perfect for optimal support.
Support Level (Stiffness): Good quality brands often offer different stiffness levels:
Flexible/Moderate: For general training, Olympic lifting (Clean & Jerk, Snatch), and higher repetition sets where some wrist mobility is needed.
Stiff/Competition: For maximal lifts like powerlifting (Bench Press, Squat) where wrist immobility and maximum stability are the priority.
